The Annual Giving Gala is an event to showcase the talented PULSE Dance Company and EDGE Dancers. It is designed to spotlight our graduating senior class each year.

The purpose of this show is to celebrate the hard work and beautiful accomplishments of these competitive dancers, and to spotlight the PULSE graduating seniors. For more than 10 years, the KJ Giving Gala has provided more than $80,000 in cash scholarships for our graduating seniors. Their scholarships were used at the following universities: Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Boston Conservatory, Chapman, Colorado, CU Bolder, George Mason, Julliard, Louisiana State, NYU, Northeastern, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Penn State, Philadelphia School of the Arts, Princeton, Sam Houston State, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Christian University, Texas Tech, University of Southern California, University of South Carolina, Virginia.

In some years, money was also given towards a benevolent need or worthy cause. $65,000 was collectively given across the following specific opportunities: Sofia Blankenbuehler (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia), The Gabriel Geffer Memorial Scholarship of Excellence, The Debbie Guthrie Memorial Performing Arts Scholarship, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the NYCDA Foundation.

The mission of KJ is to focus on each individual by teaching grace, poise, and selflessness. KJ provides a safe nurturing environment where dance is the vessel by which a child can gain self-esteem and valuable skills including teamwork and leadership. Our program teaches honesty, integrity, loyalty, and dedication through the art of dance.
